DSP Architectures is a private Northwest company focused on providing the ultimate in Digital Signal Processing silicon solutions for use in today's high performance systems. DSP Architectures was incorporated in November of 1996 by key Managers and Engineers of several previous DSP chip generations: the TRW convolvers, the Honeywell DaSP line, the Sharp LH9124 line, and the Butterfly DSP Inc. BDSP9124 line.
The goal of the group from the start has been; create the world's first truly frequency domain DSP architecture and support environment, that will enable DSP system designers to build better, faster, and more highly integrated DSP silicon solutions, in less time. The Company has an experienced management and technical team with the support and backing of industry veterans and technical advisors. The Company is privately funded and has been profitable since conception, through standard chip product sales, and through technology licensing.
The Company has several design wins in all three of the big markets: Commercial, Military, and Space. Recently our DSP24 family was chosen by NASA to be used on its high profile New Millennium Program, see http://nmp.jpl.nasa.gov/eo3/TECHNOLOGY/instrument.html The Radiation Hardened Vector Processor uses the DSP24 (RHDSP24) to perform several mission critical applications.
On the Military front, DSP Architectures was recently funded to define the next generation of on-board satellite image and signal processors for the Air Force Research Labs (AFRL).
